Our main objective is to create a fun yet stimulating experience where your child can continue to develop their social, physical, intellectual and emotional skills.We endeavour to create a loving and caring ‘home from home’ environment where children can feel safe and be nurtured. Rainbows Nursery is a privately run setting situated on the grounds of Greysbrooke Primary School in Shenstone. Rainbows has been managed by Mrs Kirsty Winwood (qualified primary school teacher) since 2010. We are open 5 days a week term time only from 9am until 6pm. We accept funded hours between the hours of 9am – 3pm.

In total we have 7 staff members all qualified in paediatric first aid and safeguarding. Each member of staff has been DBS checked with the Disclosure and barring service. Children’s Learning and Development, The EYFS framework, ensures that Rainbows follows the principles below:

 

• Children learn through play

• Nursery staff work closely with parents

• Your child’s learning at home is taken into account

• You are kept up to date with your child’s progress

• The welfare, learning and all round development of children with different backgrounds and levels of ability, including those with special educational needs and disabilities are met.

• Each child is allocated a key worker to ensure they make satisfying progress

 

The EYFS framework has 4 themes that we build on:

• Positive relationships – Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents and/or a Key Person.

• Enabling Environments – The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development and learning.

• Learning and Development – Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. All areas of learning and development are equally important.
